There are so many workout programs on the market these days that it can be rather confusing trying to figure out which one is right for you. One thing that you should always look for, especially when you are looking for the fastest way to build muscle, is a program that includes the five basic tenets of muscle building. 1. Cardio Does Not Build Muscle Biking and running are great exercises for those who are exercising simply to stay in shape and maintain their health. But these types of conventional cardio exercises are not very effective methods of building muscle because they do not generate the level of muscle fatigue that is needed for maximum muscle growth. 2. Eat More Meat You should eat more meat when you are trying to build up muscle mass. That's because meat, especially red meat, is full of protein that supplies muscle building nutrients and energy to your body. There are other good sources of protein, but red meat is definitely the way to go if you are looking for the fastest way to build muscle. 3. Multi-Task For Faster Results You need to target multiple muscle groups instead of focusing on them one at a time if you want to build up muscle mass fast. So instead of exercising back muscles one day, leg muscles another, and abs the day after that, include them all in each of your workouts. That way it will take less time to achieve the results that you want. 4. Heavier Weights Equal Bigger Gains If you want maximum muscle gains, then you need to maximize your workouts. The most effective way to do this is to kick up the intensity level of your workouts by lifting heavier weights. You build up muscle mass faster with low repetitions of heavy weights than with high repetitions using lighter weights. 5. Muscles Need Time To Recover Working out every single day is not the fastest way to build muscle. It's a good way to really damage your body. Your body is not a machine, and you must give it time to properly recover from workouts. If your muscles are not allowed to rest and recover, then they can weaken and become more susceptible to injury. Of course, there are plenty of people out there that train on a daily basis and seem to be doing just fine. Don't worry about them. They could be using steroids for all you know. Worry about yourself, and make sure that you give your body time to properly recover from your workouts. If quick muscle mass gain is your goal, then you don't want to waste your time on programs that are not focused on the fastest way to build muscle. Do your homework and don't settle for programs that fail to utilize the five key rules of muscle building.
