Has got a lot to answer for; the comedy writers Messieurs Lucas and Walliams prey on the weak and defenceless and in attempt to create a comedy; and by doing so manage to sink to the lowest depths of depravation to get a “larf”. I used to listen to Little Britain some years ago when it was a radio show on BBC radio 4. They had good ideas in those days. There was no smut, no attacks on the elderly, disabled or foreign. But since becoming a tv show where 14+ year olds seem to be the main target audience, they really do appear to have run out of ideas. Of course, you could argue that their comedy is based on the pseudo thinking that taking the extremities of ones (British) culture and making a mockery of existing taboos and ideologies will somehow create one hell of a comic strip. This however, is lost on 14 year olds or any teenager for that matter; making them believe that this is not simply humour and meanwhile sending the “message” that it’s alright to tease and mock, or even abuse the afflicted of society today. I’d like to invite you two comedians to countries like Thailand or any other Asian country for that matter, where you can understand real values and see how people live hard but decent lives.
They struggle with their lives (like people do in your own country), many yearn for security/love/home/happiness-even if it means marrying someone from another country. Ting Tong-the Asian bride in the show, was an utter insult to the Thai race not to mention those men dating Asian women. According to the show, when Ting Tong meets her “husband- to-be” for the first time, he is shocked to find that her photo is completely different to the one he had seen on the dating site. In reality, due to legal reasons and immigration laws, this could never happen. To suggest that all these women are gold-diggers; prostituting themselves; lying and scheming in order to take full advantage of the lonely-heart is very much in the minds of those bigots who can only but envy the happiness that these couples find.
