Blackberry App for Courier and Trucking Industry

IDS Internet Dispatch Services Ltd launches their newest Blackberry App providing two way communication between dispatchers and drivers, GPS driver mapping and signature capture.

North Vancouver, BC (IDS) June 29, 2009 – Mobile Apps are growing up, providing real solutions for real businesses. The latest update to IDS’s Blackberry App not only provides 2 way communication between drivers and dispatchers, but even works when the phone doesn’t have a signal.

Another great new feature is IDS has connected the camera to their app providing a real simple cost effective way to provide signature capture. Add this to the applications ability to capture the drivers GPS location for mapping purposes and you have one very useful application.

But it’s the customer that really benefits. By connecting the Blackberry to a courier or trucking system, package tracking and PODs are completed in real-time, without all that extra work.
