The build is something like you'd see from a mime- it involves interacting with an object that is imaginary, yet the interaction is made to be believable. Waves and traces both use the hands to simulate fluid movements- whether it be outlining one's own body or simulating waves with the arms and hands.

A vastly popular extension of the liquid dancing technique is to use glowsticks to give a truly psychedelic and "trippy" effect for trance goers. Glowsticking, as it is called, uses light emitting devices often held in the hands to help in the process of expressing the motions that makeup that liquid dance moves. Glowsticks draw more attention, attract more appeal, and are cheap ornaments to a truly great dancing style. It should be noted, however, that clubs have largely banned the item due to misuse, injury, and other factors.

Learning the liquid dancing style isn't hard like some dance techniques. This is because liquid dancing primarily focuses on rhythm and visual appeal instead of complex maneuvers and attention grabbing techniques. Liquid dancing can, however, use harder to learn tricks- and in which case an online video or a trip to the rental store will be necessary, as many liquid dancing moves are visual oriented. The good news is that much of the dancing style can be learned by visiting a club, watching videos, and reading more in just a few days.
