Daily "to Do" List For Your Goals- Goal Setting Part 3

Having a daily list on hand always gets me out of tight situations. As I continue to work on my goals and priorities, as stated in the first & second part of the article, I need to follow through using a daily task list. My day-to-day task list becomes very useful and convenient for me.

What will you do now? Make a "to do" list for today and the succeeding days. Each sunrise I keep a blank empty paper near me as I read the Bible. When a nice idea strikes me, I immediately put it in writing. This way it keeps me targeted on God and helps me remember those "to do" tasks later in the day. When I'm finished reading, I check my list and compare it to my weekly goals.

I'm not sure about you, but when it reaches the middle of the afternoon, I can have one of those brain drain spells. I can't even remember a simple task during that time of day. As a matter of fact, it happened just yesterday. I was walking around the house trying to remember my "to do" list.

What if I simply forget? I look for my early morning list and check if there's something that's not been done. It's that easy! My list is a very good memory aid as I get older and easily forget things.

Always review your plans and prepare for any changes. As a mother, you know you must have a contingency plan in case something unexpected happens. When my eldest child was born, I heard that moms should list their "to do" tasks on a sequence of days. If the task isn't done on the first day, then I still have another day to get it completed. You won't need to feel guilty about this. In no time, you'll achieve your goals.

With the first of the year, many of us will be a little bit carefree on their schedules, whether you've been homeschooling your kids or not. It is the right time to set goals for 2008. Get some pen and paper and write down your plans for the future. You'll be happy that you did it.
