Discover Different Fishing Bait

Every person who fishes has their favorite type of bait. It probably comes from successfully using the bait on several occasions. Then the result? It's a great bait.
Now when I lived in Missouri crawfish were a great bait choice if you were going for a small mouth bass or some large trout. Now you can't always find crawfish or crawdads as they're called in Louisiana. But if you do get the chance to use these little mudbugs, do so as they are very effective in attracting fish.
Live minnows are used by many fishermen as the live bait of choice. It's an especially attractive bait when you are fishing from a boat. Otherwise you're going to have to figure out how to carry around the bait bucket.
Worms that are live worms have gotten a bad rap from cartoons and TV. I think that's because most people don't know how to use worms properly as bait. Most people thread worms on hooks, but gang hooks shows worms in their most natural, stretched out way. When the worms look natural, the fish don't get as suspicious which leads to a higher catch number.
Some people won't have anything to do with live bait. Don't know if they are squeamish or just lazy. Really doesn't matter. Some of the newer synthetic bait is just amazing. And in some instances I can say the synthetic baits are coming darn close to live bait. Now synthetic bait comes in every shape, form and bait you can think of, and some you probably haven't thought of. Synthetic bait offers convenience and the ability to pick up and go fishing without having to stopping by a bait shop.
But when the day ends its all about getting out on the water and doing it. That's fishing, not talking or debating the best bait. Without practice in fishing you'll never be good. And a good angler catches the fish. So try the different baits, but most of all get out there and fish.

Live baits are best purchased at a nearby bait shop, but it's always a good idea to have some synthetic bait with you, and that you can get at The Daiwa Shop.
