Most of the sites, which provide free CD music downloads are fine but there are site with fake links or sites, that hijack you to another site. These two cheap tricks are among the most unpleasant things you can experience when downloading free CD music.

Some CD music download sites are not free. However, very often you can listen to the songs online. If you want to download them to your computer, you need a fast broadband connection. After you have downloaded the song, you can play it on your computer or on your iPod. Alternatively, you can copy it to a CD or DVD.

Another possibility is to share your downloads with friends, colleagues or other people. But you need to make sure that by doing this you are not violating the songs copyright. A major copyright infringement is to play the song in public or to use it for commercial purposes.

However, you are not breaking the law, if you keep collections of your favorite songs or if you share them with friends. Some Web sites offer free music but in order to access it, you must first register and create an account.
