I have flown countless miles and have endured what seems like years stuck in traffic. I am not a fan of the airlines or the car rental companies. Both seem counterproductive with their service. The best cars are always taken and my business-class seat might as well be in the economy class, for all the good it does. My company has been toying with the option of chartering our own jet; not just for our safety and security, but to impress our client base as well. On top of that, we have also been looking into personal limousines and executive cars for security and safety on the ground, as well as in the air. The costs are of course considerable, but the option of being in control of my own transport is a tempting notion and one which I am seriously considering. Now, the cost of purchasing a jet plane is in the millions. Only the Trumps and movie stars of this world would consider that. Fractional ownership is the most cost-effective option for a business man like me. One needs only to approach a chartered jet firm or a private dealer, and discuss the purchase. Usually, 1/16th of the jet is purchased [around R500, 000]. Following that, monthly maintenance fees must be paid, alongside the purchase of actual flight hours. Yes, the start-up cost is heavy, but the trade off is worth it. Can you picture it now, your own resplendent private plane; with free champagne and your own attractive air hostess? I can. Once on the ground, a private chauffeur driven BMW or Mercedes greets you with an open door and the smell of fresh leather. Both these car manufactures have gone to great lengths to ensure that their top of the line executive sedans and town cars are both secure and smooth to be driven in. The cost is of course far less than the acquisition of a private plane, the price of one plane could in essence procure you an entire fleet of cars. For choice of car, I choose the BMW 760LI and/or the Mercedes S500; both are classics in term of their look and driver control. Not that you will be worrying about the driving. Friends, luxury is not an option these days; it is a necessity, one that is dictated by the trends of modern society and the flow of the almighty currency. My advice is to purchase the best and fastest form of transport you can, all the better to keep you connected to every corner of the world. The quickest one there is usually the winner of that large project you may have been bidding for. Your fleet of luxury vehicles could become your own fleet of cars for hire. Airports be damned, you’re finding your own way there.

Jack needs to stay connected with luxury car rentals when he lands from his flights and thankfully there is a rent a car located in most major airports, worldwide.
