Are you a caffeine junkie like me? The aroma of brewed coffee can really stimulate the senses. But most persons will feel the effects more after sipping because this is when the effects of coffee really happen. What are exactly the effects of coffee? Studies have shown this can boost the individual's alertness, improve concentration and performance. Inside you body, this means an increase in the heart rate, blood pressure and basal metabolic rate. It will also promote urine production and can help relax muscle tension. It is the reason why that a lot of us have coffee while studying for an exam, to help waking up in the morning or be able to work during night shifts. Caffeine is the main ingredient in coffee. According to research, it is harmless to drink one or two cups every day. However, if someone exceeds this quantity he may suffer the negative effects that include headaches, difficulty sleeping, irregular heartbeat, muscle tension and nausea. This may also lead to ulcer or heartburn, which is why experts also recommend persons to drink in a moderate way. For pregnant women or patients who have heart disease, coffee is not good and they should not consume it because it can cause birth defects and other health problems. But those who drink coffee may also feel the same effects by consuming substances that contain caffeine. For example, chocolate, sodas or tea. Coffee might not make the individual do a foolish thing which is generally associated with the use of alcohol or illegal substances. But it can be habit forming. Those who drink coffee on a regular basis and suddenly stop can feel what is known as withdrawal effects that will go away after a day or two when they are able to once again drink a cup of coffee. But coffee has been known to prevent certain diseases. For instance, Java is effective as an anti-depressant, now that is definitely what we can call good effects of coffee. The chances of developing Parkinson's disease in men is lessen by other types of coffee even if doctors aren't sure yet of what is the cause of this disease. Coffee is being consumed in almost every household. It can be purchased from the store or brewed at home or in the office. The effects of coffee has on people can vary with another depending on how the body reacts to the caffeine so when the individual has felt this is enough, it is time to stop rather than feeling the negative effects of using too much. Nonetheless it is hard to beat a good cup of coffee in the morning. But since I want to better take care of my health I will try to drink a bit less coffee and start drinking some green tea during the day. Well like I said at least I will try.
