Want a new job? Well, try taking on cat training. Yes, I must admit, I hate cat training and all the dedication that goes into it; however, I adore a well behaved kitty and there is nothing that will produce that except for consistent and thoughtful cat training. You might think about sending your cat to obedience classes? But, save your money and don't even bother with it. With the correct training, your cat can become a well behaved addition to your loving family...and all without spending a bundle on expensive classes! If you want a well behaved cat, then the first step to consistent training. Proper cat care depends on your consistency. How does cat training in 10 minutes sound? Like a pack of lies! If you think that just spending a few minutes a day with your cat will yield the results you are looking for, then you are in for some heart break! Now...get serious. Cat training in ten minutes sounds good on paper, but training is all about consistency and reinforcement. Training aids are one thing that will make cat training a lot easier on you and your cat. The following aids are great ways to improve cat behavior and that all-too-distinct curious "style". Got a litter tray? Got a litter box that your cat loves and uses? Indoor cats come with a few irritations, like dealing with the litter and dirt that come along with ownership. If you want a clean home, then a litter box will be one of your best friends and a valuable training aid. They sure make cleaning up after your cat a whole lot easier. And, don't be shocked, but there are even some cat owners out there who actually toilet train their cat. You might also think about getting a bunch a cat grass to grow in your home. Your kitty will enjoy having something to munch on and it should keep them from devouring your favorite plants on the ledge. Just like most humans, cats love to nest and so they need a place to do so. Most cats enjoy going to lofty spots in order to over look their kingdom. In order to keep them from tromping all over your furniture, create a nesting spot dedicated soley to your feline baby. Cat trees or cat condos are a great example of cat nesting spots. When the area is brand new, you might consider rubbing the spot with a cat treat in order to transfer the yummy smell which should entice your cat to move on in. Cat treats, cat condos, balls of yarn, litter boxes...all of these cat training tools can make reinforcing positive behavior much easier. Remember, tolerance and consistency are still two crucial parts of cat training, regardless of the training tools you have on hand. And never forget, there is no "cat training in ten minutes"...so don't waste your money on any program promising such. Cats long for and desire training that is consistent, acknowledged and is incorporated into their daily lives. Remember, that if you put in the time and effort, your cat will appreciate the more well ordered world. It is worth your energy. Good cat behavior is a wonderful gem that once you have achieved it, you will never want to be without it again.
