How To Pick The Best Costume For Women Halloween for many grown ups has a tendency to become more of a challenge in costume hunting than a celebration filled with imagination and sweets. If, however, you can get passed this seeming small drawback you are going to at least be on your way to pretending you are having a carefree, happy-go-lucky night. For the most part, ladies will have a harder time trying to find the right costume. For once, it may be for a good reason--there are literally thousands of choices for ladies of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. That being said, the majority of adult female costumes do fall into one of two basic categories--sexy costumes and all the others. There are certainly the conventional Halloween costume ideas like a witch, a cat, a ghost, etc. These are most likely your first choice for the conventional Halloween party goer. Almost any costume idea can be adapted to have a sexier look or you can play it down so to speak, and keep your modesty. Plus size costumes are on the market in practically all styles now. The important thing is to select a halloween costume that you are comfortable and relaxed in, both mentally and physically. It's pretty challenging to pull your look off if you aren't good in your costume. I've noticed that the sexy category has grown by leaps and bounds recently, the plus side of this being that the costume options are more varied and diverse. It's not just a choice between sexy lady cop or a French maid (though these are still fantastic options). The sexy costume genre has expanded to include pop culture. As a result of movies like 'Charlie's Angels' and television shows like 'Alias', women can now have a more specific strong and fascinating woman in mind on Halloween. It is, after all, the only night of the year when a normally professional and reserved woman can get away with cutting loose a little in public. On the other side of things; in the not necessarily sexy category, there is also a great collection of choices. TV shows and movies can still be your inspiration. The so-called classic shows such as 'I Dream of Jeanie' and 'I Love Lucy' offer wonderful characters that are female. Costumes from a specific period are also a fantastic choice. an outfit inspired by the roaring twenties such as a flapper dress or even a decorative Renaissance era costume can be great fun.The 1950s is another fun time period. Think saddle shoes, poodle skirts and ponytails. Most of all, try matching your individuality to your costume or vice versa. Nothing completes costumes better than your playacting. When you have finally picked out your halloween costume, don't forget to accessorize with make-up, jewelry, wig, feather duster, a matching handbag -- anything that is is appropriate for your costume. A great wig can have on a costume. With all your finishing touches in place, go to your party ready to dazzle the other guests. Have some good fun this Halloween and live a few of fantasies. Really, that is what halloween is about.
