Lose Double Chin And Wrikles Using Facial Exercises

Have you ever seen other people with a double chin and thought it could never happen to you? Most of us have, until that day when we wake up and see our own second chin staring back at us in the mirror.

For overweight individuals, getting rid of their double chin is often as easy as losing some weight. When you exercise to lose weight, fat starts to come off all over the body. In fact, your face may be one of the first places you'll notice weight loss.

Of course an exercise plan is rarely, if ever, complete without diet. If you've been practicing some poor eating habits, try to cut down on calories and eat a diet rich in nutrients. Sometimes a natural improvement will help burn fat all over, including your double chin.

One popular facial exercise is called the shovel exercise and it's used to work a muscle in your jaw called the platysma. In basic terms, it requires opening your mouth as wide as you can and placing your bottom lip over your bottom teeth. Then just move your jaw up and down.

Smile - it can help reduce your double chin. And while you're at it, frown, look surprised and any other facial expression you can think of. Moving your face constitutes a form of exercise and that will help firm your skin.

Here's another facial exercise you can do at home. Get an orange, apple or small ball and hold in under your chin opening your mouth as wide as you can. This is a great move that will firm your chin up in no time.

The muscles you should be concerned with are the same ones you use for chewing. Now, since gaining weight can only worsen your double chin problems, that doesn't mean you should constantly eat. Instead, try chewing some sugarless gum. Chewing gum gives your jaw plenty of work.

Facial exercises are a cost effective way to lose your double chin and firm up your skin. In fact, they have the potential to give you the benefits of a face lift without the dangerous side effects of surgery.
