Matching Facial Symmetry – Creating Beautiful, Natural Smiles

A variety of choices for a patient are available to those who would like a smile makeover. For grayish, stained or discolored teeth, some simply need teeth whitening. Others might want a few new teeth to match the rest of their mouth to replace broken or missing teeth. Some want a full mouth reconstruction. Their choices are many, including porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, teeth whitening, implants, bridges, cosmetic recontouring, composite bonding, porcelain inlays, porcelain onlays and dentures.

Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist, Dr. Kourosh Maddahi, is dedicated to creating beautiful, natural smiles. A patient of his, LT, explains, “I went to several dentists before finding Dr. Maddahi. I am a successful model and he knew I didn’t like my smile and he wanted to make a new one that fitted my personality. We started the same day because I had a shoot coming up in ten days and I needed it done as soon as possible. Now people are asking me if I am an actor, including casting agents who are giving me their cards!"

Dr. Maddahi explains his methodology, “When I look at a patient, I am not just looking at their teeth. I am looking at their whole face, the symmetry of their face and their personality. There’s so many people with a mouth full of dental work and the teeth look unnatural; perhaps too big, too small or just the wrong style. Some have uneven colors in their teeth, one or more are dingy or stained. I really work for a beautiful smile that has a completely natural look.”

Additionally, he is very interested in finding out what his patients want, what they suggest and which solution they are most at ease with. Using state-of-the-art digital cosmetic imaging equipment, he and the patient thoroughly discuss all options to find the best solution for them. Displaying a computerized split image photograph of the patient’s smile, he sees the current smile on one side of the screen and on the other is a digital simulation of how the smile will look after the work has been completed. This allows an instantaneous decision on the cosmetic dentistry to be done.
His combination of art and dentistry has made Dr. Maddahi one of Los Angeles' leading cosmetic dentists. The Beverly Hills office of Dr. Maddahi’s has other high-tech equipment like a painless system that uses air instead of metal to drill teeth, for new decay on a tooth. In three seconds the digital X-rays transfers to the screen and Dr. Maddahi has the ability to magnify, colorize, and alter the density of the image. He also uses small pen-shaped IntraOral Cameras, which magnify every tooth and gum surface in the mouth.

“Dentistry was a natural career choice for me,” Dr. Maddahi explains, “I've always enjoyed working with my hands. This is not only a science to me, it’s an art – and a way that I can help people to live a happier or maybe less stressful life. I made a commitment to excellence when I started my formal education and I continue that commitment today.”

Dr. Kourosh Maddahi, has been specializing in creating beautiful, natural smiles and superior dental health for 20 years and is located in Beverly Hills at 436 N. Roxbury Drive, Suite 202 and can be reached at 310-888-7797.
