Your dog is full of life, and makes yours a whole lot better I would bet. But what happens when your pet is under the weather and you have to find a lot of cash to pay for the vets bills? Of course if your pet pal gets sick, you as a responsible owner would see to it that your animal receives the medical help it needs. Just think a random bite to your dog or cat could end up in bills beyond your biggest nightmares! So why don't you get some pet insurance - after all it could end up SAVING you a small fortune, and just think what you could spend that saved money on.... And here's another sobering thought but another reason to get insurance - did you know you would have to pay for healthcare for someone your dog bit? The pet insurance industry is small in the USA, and Embrace Pet Insurance, like all other US-based companies, permits the owner to choose the clinic of their preference and some even insure you abroad! Embrace prides itself on providing affordable, flexible care. It's not a case of choosing option a, b or c, you choose what you want to pay per month, the degree of cover and how much the excess will be. There's a checklist that most insurance companies use when devising their cover; featuring in-patient care, tests and lab, medicine from your vet, surgery and so on. Aspects which may not be covered are as minor as vaccinations, worming and complementary therapies, but they also may include serious considerations such as genetic and chronic disease. The people at Embrace put the needs of the pet and their owners first, and tried to come up with a better quality insurance product. The USA does not take up pet insurance like other nations in the world, for example one in five of the animal-loving Brits' pets are covered; thanks to easy claim procedures and few complaints. There is an entire cycle of goodwill with vets knowing it's a positive move for the client, suggesting the product and the client taking it up because they know their pet will be covered. Think about it, if you have insured your pet and he gets a bit sick, you know that bill will be mostly covered, so you would take him to see the vet, and would not ignore it hoping it went away. Can't you see how much better it is for your pet to be insured? Embrace also looks for the cheapest option for pet insurance for their clients. They don't recommend routine cover because they state the premiums would cost more than the treatment. Embrace knows that the increase in premium to cover these things would not in fact be less than paying for them yourself, so they actually advise against getting routine care insurance, although they fully recommend routine care! Embrace, as other companies won't cover pre-exisiting conditions, unless there are mitigating circumstances. In addition, there is a lapse once your policy begins before you can make a claim. Some people only get insurance when their animal is already sick, but as everyone knows insurance doesn't work like that! Homeowners would be mad to consider leaving their house uninsured, well the same has to be said for pet owners too. It's easy to be complacent, thinking nothing would ever happen, but who wants to be in a situation where they cannot afford the vital care to save their pet's life? The choice is yours...
