Reasons Why Older People Suffer More From Vertigo and Dizziness

Why is it that older people seem to be suffering more from vertigo and dizziness than younger people?

Dizziness is a natural reaction our bodies make to a lack of blood flow to the brain wherein our bodies instinctively try to compel us to lie horizontal in an attempt to getting more blood to reach the brain. Dizziness may be caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure, stress, or most commonly, aging.

The reason for this is because as we grow older, we breathe less effectively since our lung muscles and breathing passages become weaker and tenser. When this happens, we don't get enough oxygen.

Aside from this, the tension in our necks contributes to the vertigo and dizziness. The tension prevents oxygen from getting to the brain because it causes the veins that run up to the head through our neck to harden and we experience blockages.

Finally, the tension in our necks can also change the position of our head as we get older. As you might know, we depend on harmony between the balance system in our eyes and ears to stay upright. When our head is in an unusual position for a long period of time, even very slightly, our sense of balance crumbles eventually, leading to frequent attacks of vertigo and dizziness.

Three strikes, you're out. It's a whole new ball game when we get older.

Statistically speaking, over 40% of americans seek treatment at some point in their lives for vertigo to no avail. It's sad that those treatments never really give them relief from vertigo and dizziness.

Actually, some simple exercises can cure vertigo and dizziness. These exercises deal directly with the cause, which is to strengthen the muscles that control our breathing passages, simple breathing exercises, and exercises that relax the tension in the neck. These exercises can be found in my vertigo and dizziness program.

In addition to this, my Vertigo And Dizziness Program also focuses on bringing more nutrients to the brain, preventing any future dizzy spells in addition to stopping the ones you experience regularly.
