I love sports equipment since I am young. I like the smell of a new baseball mitt, how a new bat feels, and the stiffness of a new pair of soccer cleats. It doesn't matter which sport really. I like outdoor sporting gear, hockey equipment - I have tried every sport I could try, and I like them all. There is nothing nicer than new equipment and a good match between friends. Most people fit into one of two categories regarding playing sports. They are either at sports or they're not attracted to sports. There are few people who are good at sports but not attracted to them, and few people who are interested in sports but not good at them. I bucked the flow. I like sport equipment because I like sports, But I am not better than ordinary at a single one. I took martial arts classes as a kid, but could never get to black belt. I was in small league baseball, but I spent a lot of the time on the bench. It doesn't matter. I like collecting the sports equipment, coming for the games, and possibly even be lucky enough to play. Nowadays, I don't play sports games as often as I would like to. Many of my sports equipment is resting on outdoor shelving in my garage, gathering dust. Nonetheless, I still get to use some of the equipment sports every now and then. The outdoor sports equipment, in particular, has been getting use this summer. The weather was very nice, and it was hard to remain inside any more than I have to. I did a lot of mountain biking, hiking, and I even had a chance to play a friendly game of soccer. It has been good to pull out the old sports equipment and try it on again. When I go to the equipment sports store, I always have to take a friend with me. You see, my love of sports equipment makes it very difficult for me to hold back my wallet. I come up with all types of strange reasons for getting improbable gear. For example, even though I don't go jogging, I bought a new sports radio the other day. I almost bought some hiking shoes that I saw even though my old ones still work pretty well. The only way to avoid making mistakes with my purchases is bringing along a friend with me when I go shopping.
