Tanushree Dutta was born on 19th March 1984 in Jamshedpur, Bihar in a conservative Hindu Bengali family. She was brought up in a very conservative environment which resulted in her becoming a shy and introvert kind of girl. No wonder people have a hard time believing this unknown fact about this sultry actress who is known for her bold look in her movies.

She has a degree in Commerce and had studied in Bombay based Brihan Maharashtrian College. She worked with Oracle Institute for 3 months in event management and market survey and report making. Hereupon, Tanushree Dutaa was supposed to perform a variety of tasks like ramp, print campaign, videos, & commercials and she worked as a stage artists doing concerts in various parts of India as well as abroad (Dubai).

The lady got so inspired by her sudden burst of new found confidence that she entered into Miss India pageant 2002 and 2003. However, she got out from the final rounds. But her hard work paid off and finally she was crowned Miss India in 2004.

Tanushree Dutta kick started her career in Bollywood with two movies Chocolate (2005) and simultaneously did Aashiq Banaya Apne (2005). Her other work includes a special appearance in 36 China Town (2006) and Bhagam Bhaag, Speed, Rokda, Dhol, Good Boy Bad Boy, Dus Kahaniyan and Mr. Fraud.

Besides this, she has also anchored a Bengali show on Television titled Hoi Hullod. She is very bold and courageous girl and never hesitates to wear swimsuit and skimpy cloths for her roles. She is also recently in the news for her dismissal from many projects including Shri Ashtvinayak’s Run Bhola Run.
