Tooth-whitening gels function on the whitening effects of carbamide peroxide. This provides the vitamins C and E, and these ingredients stimulate the production of healthy mouth tissues and fight the germs that cause bad breath, without the aid of alcohol or other harmful ingredients.

As far as costs are involved, each dentist has a set price on how much they will charge you, generally the first treatment is the cheapest. As long as you get follow up treatments then the cost is generally reduced. As with anything it is important to not go overboard when whitening your teeth, to much bleach based gel can weaken your teeth. So be careful and have fun with your brand new smile!
