The black Pomeranian is not much different then the red and brown variety of Pomeranian, except it is black. It is a very intelligent dog and can be quite fierce when protecting its owners. The black Pomeranian has a pleasant temperament and makes a good first family pet. Even though a small dog, the black Pomeranian has a medium bone structure and is very sturdy. Its legs are in direct proportion to its body.

The black Pomeranian sometimes gives the appearance of a guard dog because of its coat. Black Pomeranians take longer to groom because the black hair picks up and shows more dirt and, therefore, must be groomed accordingly. These dogs are happy dogs and are highly intelligent. They are very loyal dogs to their owners and can also be quite fierce when necessary. Their training should begin at an early age.

The black Pomeranian is a very active dog and is considered by most to be a bossy dog. They are extremely vivacious and very energetic. They are also very nosy dogs who get themselves into trouble quite regularly because of this nosy attribute. Their tails are set high and curl around to lay flat on the dogs back.

Because of their unusual looking coats they are actually quite beautiful dogs. They range in size from four to seven pounds and typically have very short but sturdy legs. They definitely are not tiny, brittle or wimpy dogs.

Black Pomeranian puppies are quite popular because of their unique color. These dogs make great apartment dogs because of their small stature but need to be exercised daily. They love attention and will love their grooming time if started early in life. The black Pomeranian will need to be groomed more consistently because the black coat tends to pick up everything around it and is a definite eyesore.

The Black Pomeranian makes a great pet. They love to please their owners and love affection. Their pleasant personality and beautiful coats have made them the most popular of the breed. They make great companion dogs in any environment. They would like to be known as lap dogs if they had their choice. Training needs to be done with these dogs or they will forever be your lap dog.

The black Pomeranian is one of the most popular of the breed. The only difference between the black Pomeranian and the red and brown Pomeranian is the color. History records them hundreds of years ago in Eastern Europe and even further back in Iceland.

They make great companion dogs in any environment. They definitely love their family and want to be lap dogs. They will be very protective of any children in their home and make great watch dogs. What this dog lacks in size he makes up for in looks and personality. He is one of the more beautiful breeds and has been a member of the American Kennel Club since 1900.
