NPC programs are designed to teach a person all the basic skills needed for a particular profession and working hands-on, get that person good at it. People who are good at what they do get work. NPC offers the following programs: Dental Assistant A hands-on program in patient care, office procedure and laboratory duties. Applicants learn how to administer a dental office – including recording appointments and treatments, handling billing and payment receipt. They learn how to prepare patients for treatment, prepare dental instruments and work chair-side with the dentist. Medical Assistant A hands-on program in the clinical and administrative duties needed for the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and other healthcare professionals. Applicants learn the needed front and back office skills, including working with patients. Once they are ready the applicant has the opportunity to be placed in an externship program in the field to gain experiential training. Computerized Office Assistant A hands-on program preparing the student with vital office skills needed in today’s business world. Applicants learn basic mathematics and accounting principles, keyboarding and 10-key, skills needed to operate in an efficient office. Instruction also includes proficiency in QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Office to develop documents, forms, database management, electronic presentations and also how to provide financial reports Massage Therapy A hands-on program in the vital skills for success in this profession. Applicants study basic science and learn the anatomy of the human body. They receive training and practice in key massage techniques to enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of patients. Once they are ready, the applicant is placed in an externship program in the field to gain experiential training. Computerized Accounting A hands-on program where the applicant gains fundamental computer skills and then learns the basics of accounting theory, basics in tax law as it applies to business accounting, finance, and taxation. Training includes QuickBooks Pro and other vital software used in the profession. Instruction covers the overall foundations of operating in an office setting in any industry. This rapid certification training readies a student for the marketplace. NPC programs are administered in new specially designed facilities geared for small hands-on classes. Applicants get plenty of instructor attention and help and are guided through their programs with an emphasis on ability and proficiency. Once completed and ready to work, NPC offers the student job placement services, working with established businesses who want skilled and competent employees.
