The Intricacies Of Converting Movies To A Mini DVD

Mini DVDs are very cute and if you have a video camera, you will certainly appreciate them a lot because they allow you to store so much information. But when you have a bunch of mini DVDs, you start wondering if there is a way to make all this information more compact by copying the contents of the mini DVD to a normal DVD.

Burning copy protected DVD is a lot easier said than done. Putting a much loved video on a blank disc is the ideal means of having an extra copy, when the original simply wears out or gets damaged beyond viewing. Sure, users can polish and repair a few scratches, but eventually all the tricks in the world will not work, and the favored movie or recording is lost forever. If one is lucky, a new copy is just a store away. But, what if it is an older DVD that is no longer available on the market? Now what?

You need a fast and easy way to get your videos from the camera onto another media. Just imagine, if your relatives want to see your vacation photos � you are not going to send them the camera, right?

In order to enjoy and share your videos, you definitely need to move the data to a normal sized DVD, so you can watch on a computer or television, without all the hassle of taking the camera wherever you go. Then, you can also make duplicates for friends and family who may also appreciate seeing a memory they were unable to share at the time it was being made.

Actually, the process is a lot easier than trying to make a copy of a regular DVD that has been copyright protected. You do not have to purchase decrypting software. However, moving information from one disc to another will have its own set of challenges.

The first intricacy is that your computer's player might not be able to play the mini DVD. But don't worry, maybe your laptop or desktop computer will be of more use. Another requirement for success is that you have a DVD writer. So, connect the camera to the computer and copy the files to a folder on your hard drive. Edit the information, if necessary. For instance, you can shrink the movies. After you have prepared your data, burn it to a DVD the usual way.

As you see, copying Mini DVDs is not difficult at all. So, when you have a vacation, make as many movies as you like and rest assured that you can always transfer the mini DVDs to a normal-sized DVD. The best is that you can remove all the moments you don't like and then make a copy for yourself, your friends and family and watch it whenever you like.
