The 25% Rule: Simply stated, if the first quarter of your sales letter isn't absolutely compelling and interesting enough your sales letter will bomb. Increase sales An increase in sales is just one of the reasons business websites and blogs are working for business online, from the small business to larger corporations. But taking your online sales for granted will mean the end of your online business. Now we all agree that hiring and maintaining a quality sales force is a large part of the equation, but quality salespeople are not just born, they are a product of a lot of time in the business, understanding the customer needs and your product line, as well as the ever changing status of your inventory. Sales management If your sales team is a source of candidates for other positions in your company, you may want to consider whether your salespeople and sales candidates have the attributes required to be successful in those other positions. While the revenue results may vary, the sales manager can see how new salespeople are performing on his or her way to growth and greater revenues and how longer tenured salespeople are performing in and out of his or her comfort zone. Your sales leads If qualified lead generation in a business-to-business marketing-for-leads program is to succeed, marketing, sales and corporate management must share a unified definition of qualified sales leads. While business-to-business marketers race to snatch up the most promising and qualified short-term prospects that come in from any marketing-lead-generation initiative, nearly three-quarters of the sales leads that can convert to sales are being heavily ignored. And if you use effective and efficient relationship communication skills and not just focus your company's efforts on the easy or short-term sales leads, you can pick up the three out of four sales that others are leaving on the table. Sales copy Sales copy that doesn't serve the needs and desires of your web site visitors. And you can simply put a good sales copy is the content of your copy and presentation of your copy put together in such a way that it increases your visitor to sale conversion rate on a consistent basis. Having wasted words in your sales copy is like watching a half-hour sitcom on television, but instead of good TV programming, all you're getting is 29 minutes of commercials and adverts, and only one minute of content. The sales team Preparing your sales staff and support team in the planning stages of your proposed promotional campaign will get everyone on board with what they are responsible for, in order to make your event a success. If your company's sales are lagging and you are looking for a way to boost the results of your sales team, look into creating a sales contest or sales incentive program to motivate your sales force. And if you are a sales manager you know it is difficult to motivate your sales team, but you also know that your ability as a coach is based on their ability to succeed in sales.
