Perez Hilton's old site www.pagesixsixsix.com became an overnight success with those interested in celebrity gossip and hated by those gossiped about. Maybe it's because of his earlier success Perez Hilton thinks that now he can get away with more than most.

Perez is openly gay and perhaps due to this he feels he needs to help Hollywood stars come out of the closet and embrace being gay and is even partially credited for helping former NSYNC's Lance Bass come out. Even though being gay is not as taboo as it used to be, some people criticize Perez Hilton's manner is trying to get gays out of the closet. Perez even appeared in the movie Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild set to come out later this year, portraying none other than himself.

Bold enough to fight lawsuits (and often win them) involving Britney Spears, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Aniston, just to name a few, this still doesn't seem to deter Perez Hilton from posting all the juicy gossip Hollywood has to offer. Whether it's his quirky personality or upfront manner, he still has droves of people visiting his site all thirsty for the latest celebrity gossip.
