Truck owners unite!

Men nowadays have the wildest liking to automobiles and vehicles. This is their unquestionable hobby. There are men who keep a “stable” romantic/platonic relationship with their sports cars/hybrids (by taking care of it regularly and simple just loving it with their whole hearts). Other men take their “incredible” liking to cars to the extremes. They don’t just simply adore Toyota or Ferrari for their incredibly built sports cars. They are in-love with the “monsters” of the road – they adore trucks. Yes, these overly sized vehicles (which are used for transporting heavy equipments, furniture, and even cars alike before) are now getting enough support to have stable fandoms in the cyberspace. Forums, blogs, and website associations of the road-monster lovers has been increasing in number dramatically.

Yes, they have a place in the net

I have been lurking for quite some time now in the Internet to discover all the Internet sites that exhibit “devotion” to our monsters of the road. After searching for a month, these are the sites I have found (For now, I have focused to the forums, probably, I’ll do the blogs and fansites as a part 2):

There are many FORUMS which features fans adoration to trucks. In www.heavyequipmentforums.com, for example, thousands and thousands of truck enthusiasts are keeping the forum alive. Here they talk about truck parts, truck maintenance guidelines, truck FAQs, and more.

Another fun truck site is the http://www.thetruckersreport.com, trucking industry forum. Much like the first site I have mentioned, they also features FAQs and guidelines which allows members to help each other about their trucking questions. Here, members also get to see a glimpse of other members’ trucks through the photogallery.

The same features are also being offered by http://www.truckforums.com. The only difference is that they divided their categories based on Truck models: Dodge, Chevy, Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Cadillac, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc.

Another forum I caught in the net is http://truckingboards.com/trucking. This forum basically focuses its discussion to the owners of trucks themselves – about the problems they encounter, their own help tips to newbie owners, etc.

The other forums I get to visit in my investigations are those specifically “devoted” to different truck models. They are: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums, for FORD truck enthusiasts; http://www.fullsizechevy.com, for Chevy truck fans; http://www.gm-trucks.com, for General Motors truck owners and fans, etc.

The one thing that surprised me while browsing the net is the site: http://www.marriedtoatrucker.com/index2.htm. The site is devoted to women who are wives to men who adore trucks. The site is a fun view as it offers areas for Forums, Ask a Wife, Quotes, Tips, Banner Exchange, and their Favorite Links.

The fandom’s aftermath

As a response to this “incredible” happening, many have been venturing to truck repair services to cater the needs of the truck-fans. For example, there are many reputable truck repair service in Houston and trailer repair in Houston, which offers top-class maintenance for trucks. Truck repair shop TX, usually offers the following care for trucks: for their Alignments, Suspensions, Brakes, Transmission & Drivetrains, Clutches, Air Conditioning, Engine, Spring Repair, Fabrication, Frame Repair. Rebuild Shop in Houston and trailer repair TX, usually offers repairs/ maintenance for transmissions, Rear Ends, Power Dividers, Gear Boxes.
