There is considerable variation in understanding what the phrase Web 2.0 really means. Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Media refers to Web 2.0 as a new “business revolution” caused by moving to the Internet as a platform and an attempt to “understand the rules of success on the new platform”. In general it is widely believed that Web 2.0 refers to “second generation” of Web based communities, social networking sites, wikis, blogs, RSS feeds, collaborative categorization of content and folksonomies.
