Weight Loss Miracle - Hypnotherapy Plus The Zone Lifestyle Diet

The Zone diet is a weight loss program that pays close attention to calories and physical exercise to deliver weight loss. It is a lifestyle-changing program to get people to lose pounds and become physically fit. The main part of this diet plan is the set of eating guidelines developed by the doctor Barry Sears.

The scientific reasoning behind the diet focuses on the influence of carbohydrates on the body's insulin levels. Eating too many carbohydrates causes blood sugar levels to rise sharply, which causes the body to secrete insulin, a hormone that reduces blood sugar levels by causing the sugar to be stored as fat. It is thought that by eating the right foods, blood sugar levels can be controlled to keep insulin levels in "the zone," a range where the body burns more fat and stops storing excessive fat.

The diet program balances carbohydrate and protein consumption in a 3:4 ratio, meaning 30% of your calories will come from protein and 40% from carbohydrates (another 30% typically comes from fat). It is important to count calories on the Zone plan, with most meals under five hundred calories each and snacks around one hundred calories each.

Under the diet plan, you eat five times a day (three meals and two snacks), never letting more than five hours pass without eating. If you sleep eight hours every night, this means eating breakfast within one hour of getting up, having lunch within five hours of breakfast, a snack within five hours of lunch, dinner within two or three hours of your snack, and a late night snack just before going to sleep.

The majority of foods consumed on the Zone plan include low fat meats, such as fish or chicken and other healthy sources of protein, lots of fruits and vegetables, and a small amount of carbohydrates. Breads, sugar, cereals, potatoes, and rice are the kinds of carbohydrate rich foods that dieters are to avoid eating, but can enjoy once in awhile. Dieters must also stop eating pre-packaged foods and food with a high sodium content.

Exercise is another fundamental part of the Zone diet. The plan suggests moderate intensity physical exercise for thirty minutes each day, six days a week. Exercise is supposed to increase the effectiveness of the Zone plan. Other things that are supposed to increase the effectiveness of the diet include taking vitamins and nutritional supplements.

The Zone plan is effective for many people, but it takes a big commitment. The reason why this diet and most other diets do not seem to work is because many dieters quit before they are able to see improvement. Many people struggle to stick with any type of diet program because of cravings, out-of-control appetites or eating habits, or a lack the motivation to lose weight. Hypnosis is perfect for overcoming these issues and providing the motivation to stick to a diet such as the Zone diet plan.
