If you've been searching for poker chips for any length of time, Chances are you've seen Las Vegas style poker chips. But what are these exactly? Does this mean that the chips come from Las Vegas? Does it mean that the chips are like the chips in Las Vegas? Maybe it means that these chips are replicas of the chips found in Las Vegas. The term seems to mean different things to different sites.

Other cyber store sites consider that any chip that has "welcome to Las Vegas" or has the words Las Vegas on it is a Las Vegas Style poker chip. The chip itself can be made out of anything, including cheap plastic. Be careful to do some thorough research before purchasing any chip from these websites.

Unfortunately, the term Las Vegas poker chip has been tossed around so much that it's virtually meaningless now. When you look for this type of chip, make sure you know exactly what you're looking for and exactly what the chip shop means by "Las Vegas poker chip".
