Thinking of starting your own limited company? It is very important to know about the limited company. Thus before you go ahead, here is a short description about a limited company and the registered office. Not all businesses are companies. As the name suggests, a limited company is the legal entity for an individual that is completely separate from its other officers or partners. The limited company has its own assets, profits and losses which are limited to the company not to just one person like in traders or in partnerships. The company should submit an annual accounts report to the Companies House in time which is made available for the general public. Best of all the aspects of the limited company is that of limited liability which provides a security to the personal assets when the company suffers huge losses or is set into liquidation. Thus the owners will have to pay only the amount that was greed to be paid off to the creditors for settling the debts. But for all this work to be done and the annual reports to be registered in the Companies House which is an organization under which all the limited companies are registered. Thus there should be an official address for your limited company. This is where the registered office comes into the picture. The registered office is the official place where all these important documents are stored safely. The registered office will appear on the public address records with the full postal address. There are certain limited companies which operate from the homes of the owners. In such cases, if you don't have a registered office address and you don't wish to have your residential address on the public records, then you can put your residential address as the registered office address on the general public records. The registered office of the company is very necessary to ensure that the company is recognized by the Companies House. The registered office can be in any city irrespective of its working and functioning city. Through the registered office, the correspondence between the company matters is received and sent to its other related offices. These correspondences can be both legal in nature and public matter. The correspondence from this registered office is further sent to the company's functional office for further related processing. May it be any functional declaration like the advertisements or the promoting campaigns like the press releases or offers or any other public declaration it must bear the name of the official address of the registered office. Thus indirectly it is the main office head office of your limited company. So, when you start your own limited office don't forget to first create its registered office.
