Many women everyday face the dilemma of what to do about their wrinkles. Will wrinkle creams work? Are there any side effects? It can be difficult to tell.

There are many different products on the market, all claiming to work miracles, and make wrinkles simply disappear. More and more products are brought out all the time, how can a woman be expected to keep track of them all, and know what to believe?

The moment we switch on the TV, we have to deal with hundreds of advertisements of cosmetics (read wrinkle removal creams and lotions). Advertisements do what they are designed for- sell products. Millions of women all over the world watch these advertisements and fall prey to such advertisements, only to find out later that the products endorsed by celebrities in those advertisements failed to bring any visible changes.

But how can someone find out what a wrinkle cream can do? An understanding of how wrinkles are formed is crucial to understand what creams can do to help.

The proteins "elastin" and "collagen" are both synthesised by the human body, and are used by the skin to give it a young look, and keep it smooth. However, the amounts of both these proteins in the body decline as a person gets older.

Due to this phenomenon, the skin starts showing up fine lines (extending from the corner of eyes to various other places on our face). These fine lines are better known as wrinkles. There are several cosmetic giants which have waged a war against wrinkles by trying to develop products which can reverse the aging-process.

How can you decide which anti aging skin care product is perfect for your skin? Isn't that a little complicated question? Buy only those wrinkle creams which are well known. Do not make the mistake of getting addicted to using many wrinkle products at the same time. Your skin is precious, isn't it?
