    A boat's engine, like anything mechanical, needs regular maintenance to keep it in optimal running condition. Not practicing boat engine maintenance invites all sorts of expensive trouble or on-the-water emergencies. Reading your engine manual, you should make a handy boat engine maintenance checklist and post it where you will see it during boating season. While most boat engine maintenance items can be done at the start or end of the season, a few things must be checked regularly. Boat engine maintenance is very little trouble, but handling engine repairs caused by neglect is a major headache.

    Boat owners have a large selection of choices before them when it comes to purchasing an engine. There are lots of factors to consider, including the boat's weight and the planned uses for your boat. (When calculating weight, be sure to add in the weight of passengers, cargo, and fuel, which can total hundreds of pounds.) If you install an engine with too much horsepower, it will drive up unnecessary fuel costs and possibly make the boat run faster than is safe. Conversely, too little horsepower is bad, too. The engine will work too hard and maintenance issues can multiply. Your boat's manufacturer should give you solid recommendations on horsepower, however.

Everyone wanted a bicycle, and this newfangled means of transportation became a major source of recreation.

There are magazines dedicated to skateboarding, and skateboarders show off their skills in competitions. Skateboarding doesn't require a lot of high tech gear; it's just you and your board. Skateboarding can be hazardous, however. A smart skateboarder should wear protective gear to avoid or minimize danger. Knee and elbow pads and a sturdy helmet are important choices, but the skateboarding shoes you sport can make a big difference, too. Good skateboarding shoes not only give you protection, they can improve your riding as well. There are some specially made skateboarding shoes you might wish to try, or you could just follow this advice and choose a pair that meet all the standards.

Watching pros take to the skies it is hard not to imagine how much fun it must be to pitch yourself into the air, reconnecting with your board on the way back down.

In the United States, a great deal of that popularity can be attributed to Lance Armstrong. He has helped cycling's astronomical rise and the new popularity of bicycle clothes. Professional cyclists need the sheerest advantages that only scientifically engineered materials can afford, but casual cyclists are also interested in bicycle clothes, and for good reason. Bicycle clothes are extremely comfortable.
