    GAO Research Announces Availability of Internet Aware Fax
    (Jan, 2008) GAO Research Inc. announces the availability of Internet Aware Fax (IAF) software based on its ITU compliant T.38 module. Under the T.38 protocol, fax signals and data from the originating fax terminal are packetized and sent over the IP network. A gateway at the remote end, unpacks the payload and directly processes the signals as an Internet Aware Fax (IAF).
